'PACIFIC RIM 2: MAELSTROM'!
While Independence Day 2 is playing in cinemas here are news from another movie in which humans are fighting off massive alien invasion: as 'Deadline' reports today Scott Eastwood is in talks to star in PACIFIC RIM 2 with the science fiction epic action sequel getting a February 2018 release date! Star Wars'John Boyega has already been announced as the new member of the cast playing the son of Idris Elba's character from the original movie. It isn't yet known if some of the stars from the first movie, such as Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman and Rinko Kikuchi, are coming back. SPARTACUS producer Steven S. DeKnight is helming the sequel titled MAELSTROM which sees people defending the Earth from aliens by using massive robot fighters. If you liked Better Midler, Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton in THE FIRST WIVES CLUB you will be happy to hear that TV Land is making a single camera comedy series about it with Vanessa Lachey joining the cast that already has Alyson Hannigan and Megan Hilty. Set in present day San Francisco, the story revolves around three women, friends and classmates in the ’90s, who reconnect after their close friend from college dies in a freak accident. When they discover that they are all at a romantic crossroads, they band together to tackle divorce, relationships and life’s other annoying challenges. VanessaLachey will play a lesbian chef and a restaurant owner in the series adaptation of the book and the famous movie.
