KEANU REEVES TO LEAD
'THE STARLING' WITH ISLA FISHER
Here's a lovely plot: as 'Deadline' reports today, Keanu Reeves and Isla Fisher should lead drama movie THE STARLING as a married couple who lose
a child and the wife goes into a recovery place to help her with overwhelming grief, leaving the husband at home alone. To help aid in her recovery, the husband decides to build a beautiful garden for his wife in their backyard, but as he does he is tormented by an aggressive, black starling. At his wits end with the relentless nature of the bird, he goes to see a veterinarian to find out if there is a humane way to get rid of it. The vet, the husband finds out, used to be a psychiatrist but gave it up to help animals instead. However, the quirky vet begins counselling the husband in a turn that neither of them really expected. This could be a very emotional role for Keanu whose own girlfriend died a year after they lost their baby.

'THE CROSSING' SF SERIES
SANDRINE HOLT TO LEAD
Sf TV news today, people! I already informed you earlier this winter that ABC is preparing a pilot for sf series THE CROSSING and now it has been announced that Sandrine Holt will take the lead. It revolves around refugees from a war torn country who start showing up to seek asylum in an American town. But the country these people are from is America and the war they are fleeing is 250 years in the future. The local sheriff with a past, a federal agent, and a mother in search of her missing refugee daughter drive this allegory with a surprising conspiracy at the centre. Holt will be Emma Peralta, a federal customs agent whose keen mind is always processing its surroundings, which allows her to perpetually exude control amongst chaos. Heavily sceptical of the refugees’ story and the concept of time travel, she nonetheless is sympathetic enough to find the truth due to her rough past as an immigrant.
