'CHURCHILL'TRAILER
STARRING BRIAN COX
Two period set movies for you today, starting with the poster and trailer for CHURCHILL which should arrive into cinemas this June
with Brian Cox playing the title role alongside Miranda Richardson and James Purefoy!

June 1944. Allied Forces stand on the brink: a million soldiers are secretly assembled on the south coast of Britain, poised to invade Nazi occupied Europe. One man stands in their way: Winston CHURCHILL. Fearful of repeating, on his disastrous command, the mass slaughter of 1915, when over 500,000 soldiers were killed on the beaches of Gallipoli. Exhausted by years of war and plagued by depression, CHURCHILL is a shadow of the hero who has resisted Hitler’s Blitzkrieg. Should the D-Day landings fail, he is
terrified he’ll be remembered as the architect of carnage. Only the unflinching support of Churchill’s brilliant, unflappable wife Clementine can halt the Prime Minister’s physical and mental collapse.

'THE YOUNG KARL MARX'
POSTER AND TRAILER ARE HERE
There's also a new movie on another famous historical figure: out this spring is German drama THE YOUNG KARL MARX following his early
years and the starts of his political work. 26 year-old Karl Marx (August Diehl) embarks with his wife, Jenny, on the road to exile. In 1844 Paris, he meets Friedrich Engels (Stefan Konarske), an industrialist's son, who investigated the sordid birth of the British working class. Engels, the dandy, provides the last piece of the puzzle to the young Karl Marx's new vision of the world. Together, between censorship and the police's repression, riots and political upheavals, they will lead the labour movement during its development into a modern era.
