Sky One keeps on casting for the TV series adaptation of Deborah Harkness'A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES novel which sees Teresa Palmer playing Diana Bishop, historian and witch, who comes upon a secret world of vampires and witches. She is offered help in solving the mystery by the enigmatic Matthew Clairmont (Matthew Goode), but he's a vampire and witches should never trust vampires. The two of them join forces to decode a text that could bring peace between the species! Alex Kingston has joined the cast as her mother, a very powerful witch, while Lindsay Duncan will play Ysabeau de Clermont, the vampire mother of Matthew Clairmont who hates all witches.
