Devon Terrell, Gustaf Skarsgård, Peter Mullan, Lily Newmark, Shalom Brune Franklin, Daniel Sharman (who did not exactly shine in Medici series with his lack of charisma, acting chops and any on screen depth), Sebastian Armesto, Emily Coates, Catherine Walker and Billy Jenkins will also star in the ten episode series that starts shooting this month.

CURSED, based on the Lady of the Lake legend, it follows Nimue (Katherine Langford), a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake. After her mother’s death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a young mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther.

It is a coming of age story whose themes are familiar to our own time: the obliteration of the natural world, religious terror, senseless war, and finding the courage to lead in the face of the impossible.

Deadline is reporting that new untitled STAR TREK series at CBS which will follow again famous captain Jean Luc Picard (to be played again by Patrick Stewart) on his new adventure, has just added Santiago Cabrera to the cast. Although there are no details on the plot of the series, Santiago Cabrera will play the pilot of Picard’s ship who is also a skillful thief. Michelle Hurd has also been added to the cast as a former intelligence officer who is a brilliant analyst with a terrific memory that has not been affected by her drug and alcohol abuse. The first two episodes will see a female director directing a debut of a Star Trek series for the first time in history. There were also stories that Jonathan Frakes, who played Picard's commander in the Next Generation series, might direct some of the episodes as well.
