Francis Lee found himself in a sort of a pickle when the family of famous fossil hunter Mary Anning refused to give any support to his film
Ammonite in which she is played by

its production in any way. But then again, they did not give support to
Peter Jackson's
Lord of the Rings and
Hobbit movies either, but they did back the upcoming

Fox movie studios did not even try to involve the family in the movie which depicts the early years in the extra ordinary life of
J.R.R. Tolkien which influenced his later writing. His son
Christopher Tolkien said that the commercialization of his father's work has reduced the aesthetic and philosophical impact of the creation to nothing! With or without the family's support,
