As you have probably noticed, we don't really cover much of
Disney's blasphemous live action adaptations of their animated classics here, as I find their casting choices mediocre at best or offensive at worst, and there seem to be a lot of new ones coming up: after the currently playing
Aladdin, and then
Lion King next week, they're preparing new
Snow White, new live action
Mulan (I hear we might be getting a teaser for that one soon),
Cruella with Emma Stone and also
Hunchback of Notre Damme, and I'm sure you've all been shocked with the latest casting for
Little Mermaid adaptation. But here is one I might stand behind: according to latest juicy rumours swirling around the net, Disney wants
Alexander Skarsgard for the lead role in their live action movie adaptation of
HERCULES! What do you say on that? I sure wouldn't mind that choice for the famous Greek hero tasked with fulfilling impossible missions for Gods. I've also heard somewhere that
Amber Heard might be a candidate for gorgeous Megara in the remake.
