CHANNING TATUM TO LEAD
SOUNDTRACK OF SILENCE DRAMA
We've mostly watched him in action movie roles in recent years, so it will be quite refreshing seeing Channing Tatum in an inspiring drama role.
He has just scored a lead one in SOUND TRACK OF SILENCE which, as Variety reports today, he will also produce over at Paramount. Written by Jamie Linden, who worked with Channing on Dear John, the movie, based on a true story, revolves around a college student who learns he is going deaf and memorizes his favourite songs to help capture the most important memories of his life — including falling in love. Channing had a break from movies in 2019 and 2018 voicing only two animated movies Lego 2 and Smallfoot. He will have Free Guy next year in which Ryan Reynolds plays a bank teller who discovers that he's actually a non player character inside a brutal, open world video game.

Speaking of drama, Sony Pictures has released a trailer for a drama that spans decades and generations: THE SONG OF NAMES is ready to
open in cinemas December 25th bringing an emotional story spread over two continents and a half century. Beneath the film's stunning and pulsing musical revelations burn the horror of a war and the lost souls extinguished from history.

Martin Simmonds (Tim Roth and Gerran Howell in younger years) has been haunted throughout his life by the mysterious disappearance of his “brother” and extraordinary best friend, a Polish Jewish virtuoso violinist, Dovidl Rapaport, who vanished shortly before the 1951 London debut concert that would have launched his
brilliant career. Thirty five years later, Martin discovers that Dovidl (Clive Owen and Jonah Hauer King) may still be alive, and sets out on an obsessive intercontinental search to find him and learn why he left.
