'WOLF TOTEM' TRAILER
FROM JEAN JACQUES ANNAUD
Now, do I have something exquisitely gorgeous for you today: the trailer you are about the see below is probably one of the most beautiful ones you
will ever see! It is for stunning Chinese epic WOLF TOTEM which is currently breaking cinema records in China together with DRAGON BLADE and ZHONGKUI SNOW GIRL AND DARK CRYSTAL. Directed by the French director with impeccable vision and special sensibility Jean Jacques Annaud (SEVEN YEARS IN TIBET, ENEMY AT THE GATES, TWO BROTHERS, DAY OF THE FALCON) this sweeping saga is the big screen adaptation of Jiang Rong's majestic novel WOLF TOTEM (which your dear spy
lovingly translated years ago for the readers in his country) which took 40 years to be written while the movie took almost ten years in the making.

ENCHANTING MONGOLIAN SAGA
The story of WOLF TOTEM is set in 1969, when student Chen Zen (William Feng Shaofeng) is sent from Peking in China to the Chinese region
of Inner Mongolia to teach shepherds. Instead, he learns about the shepherds and the bond they share with the wolves, a bond that is threatened by a government apparatchik. The sweeping saga tells of human bonding with the nature describing the captivating life of Mongol nomads and animals as well. With the budget of $40 million, the movie was shot for almost a year in Mongolia, and Annaud had to acquire a dozen wolf pups in China in order to train them for several years for the film. Annaud said one of the most challenging scenes was depicting a pack of
wolves attacking horses during a blizzard in the middle of the night. The movie has also hit French cinemas this week! The music in the film was composed by James Horner.
