And yet another Asian actor, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE and THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL star Dev Patel might take the lead role in new sf movie CHAPPIE in which, similarly to Dev's first movie, the plot will be set in a slum but a South African one where robotic police force controls law and order. Dev would play a young man trapped in an impoverished town, while Sharlto Copley is already attached to play one of the robotic cops.

WILLIAM WALLACE AND ROBERT BRUCE

Glorious news, people, more new epic shows for us! Discovery is joining the trend of documentary channels making scripted shows, and their choice is a Ridley Scott produced historical show on Scottish legends William Wallace and Robert Bruce! According to THR, the series will be based on Nigel Tranter's books THE WALLACE AND THE BRUCE trilogy! It will explore the two Scottish patriots as well as the Scottish unrest and turbulence in 1296 after King Edward I of England invaded Scotland and imposed English rule. Edward I’s reign over Scotland never was peaceable, and Scottish discontent was widespread. In 1297, the country erupted in an open revolt as national resistance developed into a war of independence during which William Wallace and Robert Bruce played leading roles. You have seen Wallace's story in Mel Gibson's BRAVEHEART!

KLONDIKE ALREADY IN WORKS
This will, actually, be Discovery's second scripted series, since their first KLONDIKE is already in production. LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN

Another great piece of television news today comes from Fox where they are apparently adapting LEAGUE OF EXTRA- ORDINARY GENTLEMEN into a TV show! Legendary graphic novel from Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill is getting a pilot first. As you probably remember from the great 2003 big screen adaptation which featured Sean Connery, Peta Wilson and Stuart Townsend, the story revolves around a group of Victorian age literary characters, including Captain Nemo, the Invisible Man, Allan Quatermain, Mina Harker and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, who team up to fight a common enemy!

BIG SCREEN BOOK ADAPTATIONS

'OBJECT OF BEATY' AND 'HOW STARBUCKS SAVED MY LIFE'

THR writes about two new movie adaptations of bestselling books. Steve Martin's OBJECT OF BEAUTY will be adapted by Ned Benson and will have Amy Adams playing a young art entrepreneur who climbs from assistant to gallery owner, from a tiny downtown studio to a posh uptown one bedroom. The story traces her life over 15 years as she travels the world and falls in and out of relationships. The same site also reports that Robert Nelson Jacobs, the writer of heartwarming CHOCOLAT (for which he got an Oscar nomination), has been hired to adapt HOW STARBUCKS SAVED MY LIFE by Michael Gates Gill. The book tells the story of an older advertising executive who loses his job and family and has to go work at Starbucks to pay the bills. He befriends a young manager at the coffee shop and learns about life and love.

WAR OF THE ROSES

Here in Europe we are already watching the first season of new BBC historical show THE WHITE QUEEN, but here's a spotlight and a review of what we've seen so far for all of those who will watch the show on Starz over in USA from August. Depicting the famous War of the Roses in which King Edward IV fought for the throne with his brothers and other candidates, the show throws a focus on a number of women who also took part in the fight either through plots and intrigues or even through use of magic. You can expect a more of a refined, elegant European court show than one of those American epic gorefests.

WHITE QUEEN STORY

WOMEN IN WAR

The year is 1464 and England has been at war for nine years battling over who is the rightful King of England: it is a war between The House of York and The House of Lancaster. The House of York’s young and devilishly handsome Edward IV (Max Irons) is crowned King of England with the help of the master manipulator Lord Warwick “The Kingmaker” (James Frain). But when Edward falls in love and secretly marries a beautiful young widow, the commoner Elizabeth Woodville (Rebecca Ferguson) Warwick’s plan for control over the English throne comes crashing down around him. Frustrated by the new Queen’s influence he will stop at nothing to maintain his grip on the King. The captivating and beautiful Elizabeth Woodville marries for the love of her King, with the help of her mother Jacquetta (Janet McTeer) a self proclaimed sorceress. Elizabeth’s most fierce adversary is the staunchly loyal Lancastrian Margaret Beaufort (Amanda Hale) a damaged and highly religious woman who would willingly lay down her life to see her young son Henry Tudor take the throne. And then there is Anne Neville (Faye Marsay), Lord Warwick's daughter –

a pawn in her father’s battle for control, who finds her strength and ambition when she takes control of her destiny and marries the King’s younger brother Richard Duke of Gloucester (Aneurin Barnard). David Oakes plays Edward's other brother George, Duke of Clarence, Eleanor Tomlinson is his wife Isabel Neville, and Tom McKay portrays Jasper Tudor, Margaret Beaufort's secret love.

WHITE QUEEN ACTORS

OLD SCHOOL VS NEW FACES

I've noticed around the net that most people agree with my opinion that Max Irons is the weakest link in the cast. His high school acting and absence of expressive depth don't really correspond well with the role of a royal authority. Rebecca Ferguson is rather charismatic, but sometimes maybe too modern. Both her and Amanda Hale (playing the extremely of putting character of Lady Beaufort) often use facial expressions which are maybe a bit too modern for a medieval show. For me, Oscar nominee Janet McTeer steals the show as refined, wise and calm Lady Rivers, queen's mother. She shows a deep understanding of her character without being overly theatrical like her younger cast members.

My general problem is that the events in the plot happen so quickly leaving no space for character development and even after four of five episodes we aren't introduced more closely to the characters and the nuances within them.

WHITE QUEEN COSTUMES

HISTORICAL INACCURACIES

The costumes are sometimes outstanding and exciting, and at some points strangely plane, monotonous and washed out, but since I didn't explore the fashion of the period more closely, I won't criticize too much since it might be true that the outfits of the period weren't

so intricate and ornately designed and patterned like those from later eras. There were many historical inaccuracies with costumes (corduroy jackets, almost visible zippers, rubber soles on shoes),

but viewers, in general, don't notice such details, so I guess all is well and I wouldn't be overly petty about it.

OUR FAVOURITE SCENE

ELIZABETH VS DUCHESS CICELY

You probably shouldn't miss the scene in the second episode when Elizabeth Woodville is finally brought to the court as the new queen and goes to get introduced to the king's mother Duchess Cicely. Thinking

she will humiliate Elizabeth by showing power and her bitter tongue, and by expressing her disapproval of her son's choice of wife and her readiness to disown her own son denying him the throne, Cicely actually unexpectedly faces a mighty storm in both Elizabeth and her

outstandingly wise mother Lady Rivers (who is never caught of-guard or unprepared for action) which ends with Cicely being forced to bow and kneel in front of the new queen. Don't miss the hugely entertaining scene!

WHITE QUEEN TIDBITS

THE REAL HISTORICAL FACTS

The show will bring us three weddings and two coronations! Queen Elizabeth's coronation gown had hundreds of pearls sewn onto it! The Palace of Westminster seen in the series was built and designed

sp ecifically for this show. Production designer even had to build a real forest since the shooting took part in winter and they needed summer forest for a masque forest ball celebrating 15 years of Edward's coronation. They even made a frozen river and fake snow!

The true ending of the WHITE QUEEN story was sad: Elizabeth's and Edward's two sons were secretly killed as kids in the Tower by their own uncle Richard who was supposed to be their protector. Elizabeth, who outlived her own sons, later on married her eldest daughter

to Henry Tudor, the son of Margaret Beaufort! Her daughter will then become the first queen of the new Tudor dynasty after Henry overthrows Richard. Her daughter was known as The White Princess, the mother of Henry VIII whose life we watched in THE TUDORS show.

ZACH MCGOWAN IS

GYPSY CHIEF IN LUKE EVANS' 'DRACULA' EPIC

Glorious news today at HOLLYWOOD SPY, people. First, Deadline reports of a new actor in the cast for Universal's DRACULA epic! Australian hunkster Zach McGowan, whom we mentioned last year when he joined the cast of Starz upcoming pirate show BLACK SAILS, will play Shkelgim, a gypsy chief, in the origin story that has THE HOBBIT, THE CROW, THE THREE MUSKETEERS and IMMORTALS super star Luke Evans as the historical medieval Prince Vlad, the Transylvanian ruler who would later on become the inspiration for Bram Stoker's vampire. Dominic Cooperis also in the cast, most probably as sultan Mehmed who ruled the Balkan peninsula at that time. Gorgeous Sarah Gadon from WORLD WITHOUT END takes the lead female role! The film tells the story of a young prince who, when the lives of his wife and child are put in danger by a bloodthirsty sultan, risks his soul to save them, and in the process becomes the first vampire.

Ah, dear people, since it's been a poor start of the week in movie news business, I shall entertain you today with freshly released first pictures and character descriptions from Disney's upcoming new animated adventure FROZEN their new version of SNOW QUEEN with different heroes in it. Hitting theatres this winter, November 27th, the movie is directed by Chris Buck (TARZAN, SURF'S UP) and Jennifer Lee (WRECK IT RALPH)!

DARING ANNA

Anna (Kristen Bell) is more daring than graceful and, at times, can act before she thinks. But she's also the most optimistic and caring person you'll ever meet. She longs to reconnect with her sister, Elsa, as they were close during their childhood. When Elsa accidentally

SNOW QUEEN ELSA

CHIVALROUS HANS

Hans (Santino Fontana) is a handsome royal from a neighboring kingdom who comes to Arendelle for Elsa's coronation. With 12 older brothers, Hans grew up feeling practically invisible and Anna can

relate. Hans is smart, observant and chivalrous. Unlike Elsa, Hans promises he'll never shut Anna out; he just might be the connection she's been waiting for all these years.

MOUNTAINMAN KRISTOFF

Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) is a true outdoorsman. He lives high up in the mountains where he harvests ice and sells it to the kingdom of Arendelle. Rough around the edges, Kristoff's the strong,

no-nonsense type, who follows his own set of rules. He may seem like a loner, but he always has his best friend by his side, a loyal and extremely mangy reindeer named Sven.

ICY MARSHMALLOW

Marshmallow is an enormous icy snowman born from Elsa's powers. He serves as a brute bodyguard charged with keeping

intruders away from her ice palace. The menacing white beast doesn't say much, but he packs a powerful punch.

BUSINESSMAN OAKEN

Oaken (Chris Williams) runs Wandering Oaken's Trading Post and Sauna. But since Elsa's massive winter storm hits in mid-July, he finds

himself with a surplus of summer supplies. Deal-seekers beware: though he's good-natured and helpful, if you cross him, Oaken won't hesitate to throw you out of his humble establishment.

SNOWMAN OLAF

He's Olaf (Josh Gad) and he likes warm hugs. Sprung from Elsa's magical powers, Olaf is by far the friendliest snowman to walk the mountains above Arendelle. His innocence, outgoing personality

and uncanny ability to disassemble himself at good and not-so-good times lead to some awkward, albeit laughable moments. He may also have the world's most impossible dream, but what he doesn't know won't melt him, or will it!

REINDEER SVEN

A reindeer with the heart of a Labrador, Sven is Kristoff's loyal friend, sleigh-puller and conscience. He makes sure his mountain-man companion is the stand-up guy Sven knows and loves, and does

so without saying a word. A few emphatic snorts usually get his point across. Life would be perfect if only Kristoff would lose that ridiculous reindeer voice he likes to use when speaking for Sven (as if reindeers really talk that way).

THOR 2 THE DARK WORLD

EPIC NEW POSTER IS HERE

The first thing to check out today is the rather spectacular Comic Con poster for THOR 2: THE DARK WORLD showing our blond God (Chris Hemsworth) soaring towards the sky

with his daddy dearest Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and his favourite nemesis Loki (Tom Hiddleston) watching him from the background. Opening this November in cinemas, the superhero adventure will see Thor battling to save the Nine Realms from a mysterious enemy older than the universe itself. A primeval race led by Malekith, who is out for revenge, intends to plunge the universe into darkness. Confronted by an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot overcome, Thor must set out on a dangerous journey that will force him to make the ultimate sacrifice. Idris Elba plays Heimdall, Asgardian sentry, Zachary

Levi as Fandral and Ray Stevenson as Volstagg are Thor's closest friends, Christopher Eccleston is Malekith, the ruler of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim, while Rene Russo is Frigga, queen of Asgard and Thor's stepmother.

MARY, QUEEN OF SCOTS

PICS FROM HISTORICAL FILM

I'm sure you are eagerly anticipating the Fall premiere of REIGN, new CW epic show on Mary Queen of Scots, which will focus on her teen days spent at the French court filled with intrigues and plots, but there is also a movie on MARY, QUEEN OF SCOTS in development and

you can see first pictures from it today. It is coming from German producers and will be based on the book by famous Stefan Zweig. Directed by Thomas Imbach it will see young Camille Rutherford playing the queen who lost three kingdoms, the wife who lost three

husbands and the woman who lost her head. The film also has Aneurin Barnard (THE WHITE QUEEN), Tony Curran (DEFIANCE) and Sean Biggerstaff in the cast. Mary was queen of France and Scotland, and many people considered her a legitimate queen of England too,

but she was held imprisoned by Elizabeth and later on executed by her. However, she, in a way, won over Elizabeth, since her son James I became the heir to Elizabeth's throne as the new king of England.

JONATHAN GORDON LEVITT

IS DOCTOR STRANGE?

In superhero news todays, if you're a fan of those, the hot gossip is that Marvel wants Joseph Gordon Levitt for the lead role in DR STRANGE which should arrive to theatres (with ANT-MAN) in 2016 or 2017 after THOR and CAPTAIN AMERICA sequels finish their cinematic life. There are some rumours that DR STRANGE could first make a cameo in THOR 2 THE DARK WORLD. Doctor Strange is a former neurosurgeon, a sorcerer, and serves as the Sorcerer Supreme, the primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats. Joseph Gordon Levitt often appears in these rumours surrounding superhero movies, and was one of the candidates for Star-lord role in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY which, thankfully, later on went to Chris Pratt!

12 YEARS A SLAVE TRAILER

Our trailer for today comes from historical drama which opens up in theatres this October: 12 YEARS A SLAVE is based on an incredible true story of one man's fight for survival and freedom. In the pre-Civil War United States, Solomon Northup (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a free black man from upstate New York, is abducted and sold into slavery. Facing cruelty (personified by a malevolent slave owner, portrayed by Michael Fassbender) as well as unexpected kindnesses, Solomon struggles not only to stay alive, but to retain his dignity. In the twelfth year of his unforgettable

odyssey, Solomon's chance meeting with a Canadian abolitionist (Brad Pitt) forever alters his life. As you can see in the trailer Michael Fassbender gives another marvellous performance as the villain in the

film and it will be interesting to see if the Academy will look him over for who knows which time again. Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Dano and Scoot McNairy are also in the cast!

EVEREST THRILLER

I did mention this project last year, but now they've got a strong male cast: 'Deadline' reports that Jake Gyllenhaal, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes and Jason Clarke will be scaling EVEREST! Based on different books which brought stories from the survivors the film will depict the 1996 Mount Everest expedition in which eight members lost their lives when they got into a nasty snow storm over at EVEREST. It is interesting that this Universal film has a rival project at Sony which will, with the same title, be directed by Doug Liman with Tom Hardy in the lead role.

Speaking of Jake Gyllenhaal, he has ditched INTO THE WOODS musical for NIGHTCRAWLER a crime thriller about a young man who gets sucked into the strange world of Los Angeles freelance crime journalism. He was supposed to play Rapunzel's prince next to Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Johnny Depp and Chris Pine in INTO THE WOODS.

THE WALKIND DEAD

SEASON FOUR INFO

So tell me, my zombie fans, how ready are you for the beginning of the fourth run of the mega popular show THE WALKING DEAD? The new season starts in October, but we already have first promo pictures, a trailer and tidbits on what will be happening with the survivors of the zombie apocalypse from Autumn! This weekend at Comic Con the first, extremely long, exciting trailer for the new season has been revealed too! Our heroes will not know whether to fight, defend or run faced with new zombie attacks. The show will again have sixteen

episodes separated into two halves - the other one starting in February after a winter break. Let us check out some of the info that we've got so far on the Autumn run of the popular show.

ZOMBIE TIDBITS

The events in the first episode, to air on October 13th at AMC titled "30 Days Without an Accident", are supposed to start some nine months after the last season finale in whichRick (Andrew Lincoln ) managed to chase the Governor (David Morrisey) away from prison and Woodbury.

CROWDED PRISON
Since they brought a large number of people from Woodbury with them, the prison will be much more crowded with survivors, but as you've seen in the season finale, those are mostly older people, women and little kids. Rick will have to find new help in Tyreese (Chad L. Coleman) and his people. Some of the old characters will have to toughen up, like Carol (Melissa McBride), who will obviously replace Andrea in being the brave lady in the group. She will even be teaching a knife class!

EVOLVING ZOMBIES

With the new showrunner Scott M.Gimple, the events in the story will escalate, and as you can see in the trailer the prison will no

longer seem as a safe place especially under the attack of new, much more unstoppable, swarms of zombies! The new season will see the undead undergoing a certain evolution and changes and becoming much more dangerous. To protect themselves from the walkers, the prison will have lots of security tricks and traps put around the premises and we shall also see a new, much stronger, gate at the entrance. This won't help them much since they will be faced with the attacks from the inside!

KARL AND DARYL
Rick will have other worries too. Since we've seen little Carl (Chandler Riggs) turning into a dangerous

sociopath Rick will have to straighten up his parental duties. And he will have other people issues, since with the prison having a whole new community, there will be frictions between the characters. There will even be fights between Rick and good old Daryl (Norman Reedus)! Without his brute of a brother who became a delightful zombie, Daryl will continue with discovering his own self-worth and with taking responsibilities within the group.

MICHONNE ON A HORSE

Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Glenn (Steven Yeun) will continue with their romance giving a glimpse of warmth in the harsh zombie world. They will be faced with new doubts too in the new season.

Meanwhile, Michonne (Danai Gurira) will find an uber cool new ride - she will be slaying zombies on top of a horse! One of the new characters will be Bob Stookey (Lawrence Gilliard) a former army medic who

will be discovered by Daryl! Meanwhile The Governer will only appear in the story again when we least expect him! Michonne will be on the mission to hunt him down!It has also been announced that David Goyer, MAN OF STEEL writer and DA VINCI'S DEMONS creator, will direct one of the episodes!

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY CAST CONFIRMED

SUPERMAN & BATMAN TEAM UP IN 'MAN OF STEEL 2'

Tones of Comic Con news today, people! Beside the AVENGERS 2 being officially titled AGE OF ULTRON (Vin Diesel will probably join Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and Scarlett Johansson in the film), and the info that Superman and Batman will officially team up in MAN OF STEEL 2 in 2015 (with Henry Cavill plus a new actor in Batman role and with Zack Snyder directing again), and DC announcing JUSTICE LEAGUE for 2016 and FLASH for 2017, and that WARCRAFT movie starts shooting next year, probably the biggest exclusive this weekend was when Marvel officially introduced the cast for their GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY movie! Opening August 2014 the sf movie will have Chris Pratt as Star-Lord (who went from this to this for the role), Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Michael Rooker as Yondu, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Djimon Hounsou as Korath, Benicio del Toro as The Collector, John C. Reilly as Rhomann Dey, and Glenn Close as Nova Prime. The film will see thieves, rebels and intergalactic assassins turning their bad ways and becoming good heroes in order to save the universe.

CAESAR GOES MAD IN

Fox has revealed the first picture from their upcoming sequel DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES showing mad Caesar covered in war colours leading his armies of apes into the battle against the naughty humans! The film will hit cinemas July 2014 and will

see a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar who are threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. Keri Russell and Gary Oldman are in the cast.

As I've reported before SyFy is also preparing RINGWORLD sf mini series and they are also planning to adapt sf movie 12 MONKEYS into a TV show!

ALMOST HUMAN SF SHOW

And are you ready for new sf show ALMOST HUMAN which will air at Fox on Monday nights this Autumn? The show will see movie star Karl Urban playing John Kennex, an emotionally closed-off human detective from a dystopian future who is partnered with a robotic cop, played by dashing Michael Ealy! Ealy's Dorian, the android partner of LAPD officer John Kennex, understands humanity more than his human counterpart. And here it is - the long awaited first trailer for Keanu Reeves Asian epic 47 RONIN which opens up in cinemas this Christmas! From ancient Japan's most enduring tale, the

The film is actually based on a true story of the forty seven Ronin. It is considered as the most famous example of Japanese samurai code of honour. Those samurai were left leaderless (ronin is a name for such a samurai) when their lord had to commit ritual suicide after he offended a court official named Kira. It took them two years to plan and avenge their master by killing Kira and after that they all committed ritual suicides themselves.

Now, here is an interesting casting: some time ago I've informed you that Johnny Depp has taken the lead role in MORTDECAI and now "Variety" reports that he might be joined in the film by Ewan McGregor and Gwyneth Paltrow! The project will be a movie adaptation of "The Great Mortdecai Moustache Mystery" novel by Kyril Bonfiglioli in which the plot revolves around an art dealer named Charles Mortdecai (Johnny Depp), who goes out in search of a stolen painting rumoured to contain the code that provides access to hidden Nazi gold. All three of them had big films this year - Depp had a big flop in THE LONE RANGER, Gwyneth was in IRON MAN III while Ewan was delightful in lovely adventure JACK THE GIANT SLAYER.

JENSEN ACKLES FOR BATMAN?

In short casting news today, I'm sure you've already heard that SUPERNATURAL star Jensen Ackles has expressed his wish to play Batman next to Henry Cavill's Superman in MAN OF STEEL 2. It is interesting that he was previously in the run to play Captain America but lost

the role to Chris Evans. Armie Hammer was also previously mentioned for the new Batman. Meanwhile, FANTASTIC FOUR reboot is scheduled to start shooting this September which means we should soon expect an avalanche of casting news!

ZAC EFRON, JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS, RYAN GOSLING IN STAR WARS?

Another big project STAR WARS VII is apparently courting Ryan Gosling and Zac Efron to play the kids of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are also expected to appear in the film. Previous rumours stated that Jonathan Rhys Meyers was the strongest candidate for the lead role. Leonardo Dicaprio allegedly turned down the role opting to rather do ROBOTECH. The story will apparently be set 30 years after RETURN OF JEDI episode.

The film follows a baker (James Corden) and his wife (Emily Blunt) who head into the woods

to confront an evil witch (Meryl Streep), whose curse prevents the couple from ever having children. Travelling through the forest they encounter several classic fairy tale characters from Cinderella (Anna Kendrick) and her prince (Chris Pine) to the Big Bad Wolf (Johnny Depp)! Tracey Ullman is the mother of Jack the Giant Killer while Christine Baranski is portraying Cinderella's mean stepmother.

20th Century Fox movie FRANKEN- STEIN. According to rumours McAvoy managed to beat out Jack Huston from BOARDWALK EMPIRE and Toby Kebbell from WRATH OF THE TITANS for the role of infamous Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein. I have already informed you before that the big screen adaptation of the Mary Shelley novel will have Daniel Radcliffe playing Victor's faithful servant and assistant Igor. The film will deal with friendship and redemption in a revisionist take on the story which will also have a sf element in it. Paul McGuigan (LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN) is directing.

Did you know that FRANKENSTEIN is actually a creation of a teen girl? Mary Shelley, who wrote the novel in 1818 in London, was only 19 when she started writing it and 21 when it was published for the first time anonymously. She came up with the book when she, her husband famous poet Percy Shelley and their friend Lord Byron, decided to compete who will make a better horror story. The story then appeared to her in a dream. It is also considered one of the first sf novels ever! Both Shelley's and Byron's publishers have originally refused to publish the book!

'I, FRANKENSTEIN' EPIC SF

Another film on the famous monster arriving to the theatres much sooner is I, FRANKENSTEIN which will start its cinematic life next January following an unlikely hero who comes to the aid humankind as a race of supernatural creatures look to take over Earth. The story of this one centres on Adam Frankenstein (Aaron Eckhart), the creation of Dr. Frankenstein who is still alive centuries after his "birth." Adam is hunted down by a clan of demons who want to learn Adam's secret in order to reanimate deceased demons to start a new army. The monster will be encountering other famous movie monsters including the Hunchback of Notre Dame, the Invisible Man, Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde plus many more, in

a re-imagined contemporary setting. Bill Nighy plays a demon prince, with Socratis Otto playing the prince's right hand man, who goes after Adam. Television star Yvonne Strahovski is Terra, the female lead a scientist who is working on reanimating the dead, with LORD OF THE

RINGS star Miranda Otto playing the queen of the gargoyles who wants to help Frankenstein. SPARTACUS star Jai Courtney will be Gideon, leader of the Gargoyle army.

The film, which was shot over in Australia, and is produced by the UNDERWORLD producers is actually an adaptation of a graphic novel. Both Aaron Eckhart and Miranda Otto practised martial arts for three months for this movie. Bill Nighy loves playing evil demons, since in UNDERWORLD he already played a Vampire king!

One of our favourite of the upcoming new projects - Universal's DRACULA historical epic, is getting new cast members! LES MISERABLES star Samantha Barks, Iceland actor Thor Kristjansson and GAME OF THRONES Art Parkinson have just joined the movie. Welsh superstar Luke Evans is the historical medieval Prince Vlad, the Wallachian ruler who would later on become the inspiration for Bram Stoker's vampire. In the film he is a young prince who, when the lives of his wife and child are put in danger by a bloodthirsty sultan, risks his soul to save them, and in the process becomes the first vampire! Dominic Cooper will play Turkish sultan Mehmed, Sarah Gadon will play Dracula's wife, Zach McGowan is Shkelgim, a gypsy chief, Samantha Barks will be Baba Yaga, a woman from Eastern European folklore who turns into a deadly witch. Thor Kristjansson plays Bright Eyes, who was enslaved as a young boy and is now an Ottoman Empire assassin,

while Art Parkinson will portray Dracula's son, Ingeras. The good news is that Luke Evans returns to Serbia where he shot his movie RAVEN, since DRACULA will start production this August in Serbian capital Belgrade.

Vlad Tepes, or Vlad the Impaler, was the 15th century prince of Wallachia who inspired the character of Dracula (the name

comes from his Draculesti dynasty). He ruled Wallachia (part of today's Romania) while the whole Balkan peninsula suffered under the Ottoman invasion. He was a member of the Order of the Dragon and is actually considered a hero in many countries since he protected Christian people from Turkish tyranny. His bloodthirsty reputation from the tales comes from his practice of impaling his enemies. It is believed that he had tens of thousands of victims.
