Fresh news for all of you James Bond fans! Apparently the first secret auditions have started for a new Bond girl which will try to seduce agent 007 in JAMES BOND 24 movie! Earlier this summer, it was announced that SKYFALL's director Sam Mendes will return behind the helm and now there are rumours that stunning British model Kate Upton (naughty click) and British actress Helen Flanagan (click for delightful naughtiness) from CORONATION STREET are the first candidates to play the female role. It seems that this time they're going for blondes with extremely big boobs! Both girls have apparently tested for the role and we shall also see the return of Ralph Fiennes as M and Ben Whishaw as Q! Daniel Craig is, of course, taking the lead role again in the sequel which might be titled DEVIL MAY CARE and which is scheduled for November 2015!

'FAIRY TALE WEDDING'

Deadline reports that Marc Klein, who wrote delightful MIRROR MIRROR fairy tale last year, will now pen FAIRY TALE WEDDING for Disney. Done in the vein of ENCHANTED, it will be a story of a wedding planner in a fairy tale land who cannot find love!
JANET MONTGOMERY TAKES THE LEAD ROLE IN 'SALEM'

Meanwhile, first WGN America's scripted series SALEM has found its lead actress. JanetMontgomery (Princess Mithian in MERLIN) will play the lead in this show, set in the volatile world of 17th century Massachusetts and exploring what really fuelled the town’s infamous witch trials, as Mary Sibley, the beautiful, ruthless and vulnerable at the same time wife of the ancient, ailing but very wealthy George Sibley, one of the Salem town Selectmen!

SF MOVIE ADAPTATION!

Deadline reports that space set 1970's television animated series STAR BLAZERS will be turned into a live action movie franchise in the vein of STAR WARS and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, which it originally had preceded on TV. To be produced by SkydanceProductions, it will be set in a future in which Earth’s atmosphere has been obliterated by a distant alien race, and the survivors have one year before radiation will reach their underground refuge and wipe out the human race. The survivors get a shot of hope in the form of alien technology that can deliver a small crew across the universe and back with the means to stave off extinction.

THE PATH STREWN WITH ROSES

MOVIE ON THE INSPIRING DESTINY OF SERBIAN PRINCESS OLIVERA DESPINA

Now, here's something historical which you probably won't be able to see around the world, but the story is interesting. A television movie THE PATH STREWN WITH ROSES is a Serbian project which mixes live action scenes with documentary narration. The movie describes the tragic, and yet deeply inspiring, destiny of famous Serbian princess Olivera, also known as Olivera Despina. After her father King Lazar was killed at the famous Kosovo battle in 1389, in which the Serbian army was trying to fend of the Turkish invasion, Serbian Queen Milica was forced to marry her daughter to new Turkish Sultan Bayezid. Even though the Turkish

army has destroyed her country and killed her father, her cousins, her grandfather and countless Serbian soldiers, Olivera had to marry Bayezid in order to prevent the further destruction of her land and as a

pledge of peace between her Lazarevic dynasty and the Ottoman dynasty. Deeply honouring her sacrifice, the people of Serbia had covered the roads that Olivera travelled through on her way to sultan's court with roses.

But when she got to the sultan's palace, the sultan, who was supposed to be her enemy, actually fell deeply in love with gentle, wise and profound princess Olivera making her his new wife and his favourite in the harem. She remained there for 12 years, managing to save her own country and to win over the heart of the man whose father has destroyed her family and her homeland. Even though she was married to the Turkish sultan she never converted to Islam remaining a Christian till her death. She had a great influence on the sultan, which helped her people, country, and family survive the turbulent times. In the Battle of Ankara in 1402, Olivera and Bayezid were captured by Mongol Khan

Tamerlane. Legends say that in his love Bayezid couldn't stand seeing Olivera in captivity and he died from a broken heart. After his death, princess Olivera was actually released by Khan Tamerlane who

had a deep respect for her brother Despot Stefan, the ruler of Serbia, and she then spent the rest of her life at her brother's court

in Serbia doing charity work, opening schools and hospitals deeply valued and respected by her people for her self-sacrifice and modesty.

'THE ROMAN' EPIC DRAMA

JULIUS CAESAR ORIGIN STORY

Deadline reports that the long awaited historical drama THE ROMAN is moving on with the preproduction after getting Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson for producers. The film will follow Julius Caesar's rise from a young general in the Roman army to the dictator

of the area. It will depict a time in the ruler's life when he fell victim to a kidnapping by Cilician pirates and was enslaved on their prison island. Caesar finds a way to escape with his crew and crucifies the perpetrators that took him for ransom (he himself demanded arrogantly from them to double the ransom they asked for his release). After returning to Rome, he thrusts himself into the political spectrum and accelerates his rise to power. There were several attempts in recent years to make a film about Caesar and there were even talks that the Roman ruler could get his spinoff series from SPARTACUS epic show.

SEQUEL GETS RICHARD GERE?
Meanwhile, the latest gossips say that Richard Gere is in talks to join Maggie Smith, JudiDench and Bill Nighy in the sequel to the delightful BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL movie which earned $130 million two years ago following a bunch of retired people who moved to India in search of an exotic home.

IN 'TRESPASS AGAINST US'

Tones of casting news for you this Saturday, starting with our dear Michael Fassbender. We've last mentioned him while speaking about him taking the lead role in the movie adaptation of MACBETH next to Marion Cotillard, and also about him leading the cast in the upcoming big screen adaptation of ASSASSINS CREED video game, and now he has another new gig: 'Variety' reports that he is negotiating to star in TRESPASS AGAINST US. In the story which revolves around the outlaw Cutler family, who have been robbing wealthy estates and taunting law enforcement for more than three generations, Michael Fassbender would play Chad Cutler, who defies the expectations of his father and tries to escape his family's criminal enterprise. The film will feature The Chemical Brothers music.

KATE BECKINSALE ENTERS

'THE DISAPPOINT- MENTS ROOM'

Another gorgeous star, Kate Beckinsale is planning to take the lead role in THE DISAPPOINTMENTS ROOM which was written by television star turned screenwriter Wentworth Miller who wrote STOKER with Nicole Kidman and Matthew Goode last year. The movie will see Beckinsale playing a woman who moves her family into a countryside Colonial mansion. But soon, she begins to lose her mental composure when she discovers secrets about the house's violent past, and begins seeing visions of a dead girl. This isn't the only film in which Kate has mental issues. In ELIZA GRAVESJim Sturgess will play a medical grad who finds a job at a mental institution where he falls in love with his new colleague played by Beckinsale. What he doesn't realize is that all of his new colleagues are actually mental patients who had taken over the staff.

HEAVENLY SWORD

THE FIRST EPIC TRAILER IS HERE

Earlier this week the first trailer was released for the movie adaptation of popular video game HEAVENLY SWORD. The animated CGI movie is a dramatic tale of revenge that sees Nariko (Anna Torv),

a fiery red-haired heroine, embark on a quest of vengeance against the invading King Bohan (Alfred Molina) and his army. Once considered the failure of a legendary prophecy, Nariko must wield a sword that was ultimately meant for another. This ancient HEAVENLY SWORD, once belonging to a powerful deity, can never be wielded by a mortal without slowly and inevitably killing them. For Nariko, it's a race against time to avenge her clan before her life is irreparably overtaken by the omnipotent Heavenly Sword. Thomas Jane is also in the voice cast.

IN 1960'S YACHT RACE CHEAT DRAMATIC MOVIE

So, people, we're having a Kate Winslet Sunday today at HOLLYWOOD SPY, and I'm absolutely sure none of you will complain :) First, some news on her new gig: 'Daily Mail' reports that Kate Winslet and Colin Firth are negotiating to take the lead roles in a movie about an infamous yacht racing cheat from four decades ago! Named Donald Crowhurst, he duped his family, race organisers and the public into believing that he had spent 240 days circumnavigating the globe in a prestigious single handed, non-stop odyssey. Firth would portray Crowhurst, with Winslet playing his wife, Clare — who was known at the time as the ‘sea widow’. He set out in 1968 and was expected to return home the following year. The public followed his "incredible endurance on treacherous oceans" with great excitement and interest. He was so far behind the other racers that he set in motion a plan to deceive the world by falsifying his locations on the ship-to-shore messages sent from his

Marconi radio! He slowly went mad, trying to keep up with his deceptions about his whereabouts. His wife, the mother of four, meanwhile had to cope alone without him in the house. She was forced to go on the dole, because her home and Crowhurst’s business were all financially wrapped up in the duplicitous voyage.

Kate Winslet is currently expecting her third baby (a son) with her third husband NedRocknroll, the nephew of famous millionaire Richard Branson, who fell in love with her after she saved his grandmother from a huge fire on Branson's private island. She has a son with SKYFALL director, Oscar winner Sam Mendes too. Believe it or not, she has won only one Oscar, even though she was nominated six times. Next year we shall again see her in a period costume in A LITTLE CHAOS in which she, Matthias Schoenaerts and Alan Rickman star in the story about a pair of landscape gardeners who compete to design a fountain at Versailles for Louis XIV.

FIRST 'LABOR DAY' TRAILER

And the first trailer has been released for a drama which might bring Kate Winslet new Oscar nominations next year. LABOUR DAY will be released this Christmas with Kate playing depressed single mom Adele who, together with her son Henry, offers a wounded, fearsome man a ride. As police search town for the escaped convict, the mother and son gradually learn his true story as their options become increasingly limited. Directed by JasonReitman (JUNO, YOUNG ADULT), the movie also has Josh Brolin as the convict, Gattlin Griffith as her son, with Tobey Maguire (he and Dylan Minnette play Henry at older ages) and James Van Der Beek also in the cast.

THE FAMILY FANG GETS

Deadline reported this weekend that Jason Bateman has taken both the directorial and the lead role in THE FAMILY FANG. The movie adaptation of Kevin Wilson's best-selling book, which already has Nicole Kidman in the lead female role, will revolve around performance artist parents who sucked their kids into being a part of their work. When the adult children return home, they are forced to help their parents with one final piece, while harbouring resentment over how their lives turned out because of their strange upbringing. You will also watch Jason Bateman in HORRIBLE BOSSES 2 which is currently in production.

SHANE WEST TO LEAD

'SALEM' HISTORICAL SHOW
In television news this Monday, LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMAN and NIKITA star Shane West has scored the lead male role in WGN America's new historical show SALEM! Set in the volatile world of 17th century Massachusetts, the drama explores what really fuelled the town’s infamous witch trials and centres on Mary Sibley (JanetMontgomery), the beautiful, ruthless but vulnerable wife of the ancient, ailing but very wealthy town Selectmen. Shane West will play a man, who after 10 years of war and captivity at the hands of the Indians, returns to his native Salem to find it consumed in Witch Hunt frenzy, led by Cotton Mather (Seth Gabel). He also has a history with Mary Sibley.
VINNIE JONES IN 'GALAVANT' HISTORICAL MUSICAL
Meanwhile, another historical show has the first cast member: ABC's historical fantasy musical show GALAVANT, which will follow handsome Prince Galavant and his quest for revenge over the king who stole his one true love, will see Vinnie Jones playing Gareth, King Galahad’s badass, scary Scottish henchman.

THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME

THEO JAMES JOINS DIANE KEATON AND AMANDA SEYFRIED

And another huge ensemble cast will be seen in new drama THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME which has just added young hunk Theo James to the cast which already includes Diane Keaton, Amanda Seyfried, Alan Arkin, and Annette Bening. The movie will follow a married couple, played by Keaton and Arkin, who have lost the love spark after many years of marriage. But when they reveal to their family over Christmas that they intend to divorce, the turmoil and emotion evoked make them begin to question their decision. It is interesting that Seyfried already worked with Keaton in recent family comedy THE BIG WEDDING in which she played her and Robert De Niro's soon to be daughter in law.

12 MONKEYS SF TV SHOW GETS

In today's TV news, 'Deadline' reports that SyFy has found their lead stars for the television show on 12 MONKEYS sf film which starred Bruce Willis, Madeline Stowe and Brad Pitt. NIKITA star Aaron Stanford and SUITS star Amanda Schull will star in the new sf show in which the story follows the journey of Cole (Aaron Stanford), a desperate and haunted time traveller from the post apocalyptic near future who appears in present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate the human race. Amanda Schull will play Cassandra Railly, a brilliant doctor who is forced to choose between her idyllic life or joining Cole’s mission to uncover the dangerous conspiracy.

British Daily Mail writes that young Dane DeHaan (CHRONICLE, THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN II) is negotiating to join Alicia Vikander in the big screen adaptation of Deborah Moggach's novel

To be directed by Justin Chadwick (who already has experience with period set movies since he helmed the godawful THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL with atrocious Natalie Portman) the film follows a beautiful young woman from the 17th century, married to wealthy merchant, who commissions an artist to paint her portrait. When the artist arrives, she's smitten, and they plan for a future together by putting their money into the highly speculative tulip market, in which certain flower bulbs were worth huge sums. Moggach also wrote THESE FOOLISH THINGS upon which legendary THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL movie was based.

Speaking of THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL, we must also mention another delightfully heartwarming movie which warmed our hearts last

years - Dustin Hoffman's directorial debut QUARTET which also starred Maggie Smith. 'Deadline' writes that Dustin has just signed on to lead the cast in another inspirational movie BOYCHOIR which will also bring a story of music and kindness. The film tells the story of troubled 11-year-old Stet, a kid from the wrong side of the tracks who ends up in a school choir butting heads with Choir Master Carvelle (Hoffman), who pushes the boy to find his creative heart and soul in music. Alfred Molina is set to play fellow teacher Drake and Kathy Bates will be the school’s headmistress. A worldwide search for a musically and dramatically gifted young thespian to play Stet is currently on.

'KANE & LYNCH' ADAPTATION

Now, this is certainly an uber cool possible tandem: 'The Hollywood Reporter' writes that Gerard Butler and Vin Diesel could take the lead roles in the movie adaptation of video game KANE & LYNCH to be directed by F. Gary Gray who already worked with Butler on LAW ABIDING CITIZEN. The game follows Kane (Butler), a death row inmate who, along with a schizophrenic killer named Lynch (Diesel), is sprung from prison to retrieve a stolen fortune. Kane travels to Los Angeles, Japan and Cuba, with Lynch acting as the team's watchdog in order to save his wife and daughter. As you know, before that Gerard has to finish GOD OF EGYPThistorical epic in which he plays an ancient and very evil God.

CRAIG HORNER JOINS VH1'S

NEW SHOW 'HINDSIGHT'
Did you miss delightful Craig Horner from legendary LEGEND OF THE SEEKER? He's back and he's just landed a lead role in VH1's new pilot HINDSIGHT! 'Deadline' reports that the show centres on Becca (Laura Ramsey) who, as she nears 40, is about to embark on her second wedding, but her joy is tempered by the absence of her old best friend Lolly (Sarah Goldberg) who’s a no-show, having dropped out of their relationship years ago. As Becca mulls over her past with Lolly and the mishap of her marriage to her first husband, Sean (Craig Horner), she wakes up on her wedding day and discovers that it’s 15 years in the past – she’s about to marry Sean, her own parents are still married, and Lolly is still in her life. Becca must now decide to either go ahead

with her marriage to Sean and watch the years play out as they have before, or chuck it all and try for a re-do of the history of her life that’s still in the future.

'THE LOTTERY' DYSTOPIAN SHOW

WIN A BABY AT THE LOTTERY!

Another rather unusual show will be seen over at Lifetime. They're preparing a pilot for THE LOTTERY, conspiracy thriller set in a world where women have stopped having children threatening extinction of the human race. When 100 embryos are successfully fertilized,

a national lottery is held to decide the surrogates. Michael Graziadei (AMERICAN HORROR STORY) is playing a recovering alcoholic and single father of one of the last children born in the country. Lesley Ann Brandt (SPARTACUS) will be a soldier longing for a child who jumps at the shot at being a surrogate by participating in the lottery. LouiseLombard is playing a formerly free-spirited artist who is now a member of the Washington power elite, an accomplished writer and spinmeister who has the ear of the president.

Now, here's something for all of you writers among my readers :) Aaron Eckhart, whom you shall watch this January in horror I,

FRANKENSTEIN, has taken the lead role in FADE OUT. He will play screenwriter Jim Connelly, who is recovering from a nervous breakdown. He spends his days in a secluded villa by a tropical beach while his beautiful wife takes care of him. He starts working on a new screenplay about a jealous husband who murders his unfaithful wife, but his intense paranoia and hallucinations cause fiction and reality to blur. As the events in Jim's screenplay appear to materialize, he becomes a suspect in his own wife's disappearance and must outrun the police as he pieces together the puzzle seemingly designed by his very own mind.

This one sounds delightful too: The Hollywood Reporter writes that Michael Caine and Samuel L. Jackson have joined HARRY AND THE BUTLER, a film in which Jackson plays a derelict rollercoaster mechanic and former jazz star, who lives in a converted train caboose in New Orleans. However, he unexpectedly inherits a large amount of money, and decides to drunkenly hire an unlucky British butler (Caine).
JULIANNE MOORE IS 'STILL ALICE'
Troubles of mature age will be seen in STILL ALICE too, in which Julianne Moore will play Alice Howland, a 50-year-old Harvard psychology professor at the height of her career who begins to notice lapses in her memory. With a diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer's, the fiercely independent woman must come to terms with her diagnosis and the ways in which it will change her life.

Our trailer treat for today is the new, second one, for upcoming sweeping drama THERAILWAY MAN which is being released this January starring Colin Firth and NicoleKidman. Colin Firth plays Lomax, an army officer who is captured and forced to work in a

Japanese labour camp during the World War II. Decades later, Lomax discovers that the Japanese interpreter he holds responsible for much of his treatment is still alive and sets out to confront him, and his

haunting past. Kidman is Lomax's wife, Jeremy Irvine portrays a young Lomax, while Stellan Skarsgård plays Lomax's friend Finlay (played by Sam Reid in his youth).

After joining Russell Crowe and JaiCourtney in THE WATER DIVINER WWI drama, she has now joined MARA too! The supernatural drama, in which the story explores the mythology and true phenomena of sleep paralysis, will see stunning Olga Kurylenko playing a criminal psychologist investigating the murder of a man, who was seemingly strangled in his sleep by his wife. She discovers a mystery involving an ancient demon, who murders people in their sleep. She finds herself in a fight to save her life and the life of the man's daughter from the evil entity. There are also rumours that Olga has tested for the role of Wonder Woman in SUPERMAN VS BATMAN!

TERMINATOR 5 GETS

Another beauty, GAME OF THRONES Dragon queen Emilia Clarke is apparently a candidate for the lead role in TERMINATOR 5 together with Garrett Hedlund. She would play Sarah Connor and he would be John Connor. The fact that they would play a mother and her son implies that their might be time jumps within the story. Earlier this year, we reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger (in a story that would take place after the WWII), might be playing a human sent back to protect Sarah Connor's parents, before she was even born, causing the machines to create future Terminators in his likeness! Well, this sounds like a hilarious comedy: 'Variety' reports that Robert De Niro and ReeseWitherspoon have signed on to star in THE INTERN which is both written and will be directed by Nancy Meyers (THE HOLIDAY, WHAT WOMEN WANT). The story will revolve around the owner (Reese Witherspoon) of a fashion website, who starts a community outreach program seeking "senior" interns. While she thinks that high school and college seniors will apply, she discovers that her intern is a 70-year-old man (Robert De Niro) who proves to be quite an asset to her company and becomes a mentor to his mentor since it turns out that he was a successful businessman before he retired.

NETFLIX TO MAKE DAREDEVIL, JESSICA JONES, LUKE CAGE, IRON

FIST SHOWS
Moving on to television news, Marvel and Netflix have made a deal in which four of Marvel's popular superhero characters will get their own television shows with the first one to air in 2015. The individual shows would each focus on DAREDEVIL, on JESSICAJONES, on IRON FIST and on LUKE CAGE, which would all have up to 13 episodes and will air over the years, and will then end with a special mini series titled MARVEL'S THEDEFENDERS which would see all of them in a team of self sacrificing superheroes who protect the world.
THE PAINTED GIRLS 1880'S PARIS

SHOW
Over at CW, they are planning a 1880's Paris set show based on THE PAINTED GIRLS novel by Cathy Marie Buchanan. Similarly to CW's new show REIGN, this one will also be set in France, but in the 19th century against the backdrop of the turbulent and exciting world of “La Belle Epoque” – decadence, poverty, sex, drugs and a serial killer running rampant throughout the city. It revolves around three sisters studying at a top ballet academy, one of whom becomes the muse for Edgar Degas and his famed paintings of ballerinas.
DC'S 'HOURMAN' SHOW AT CW

But CW will also add some other superheroes to their slate beside popular ARROW, because together with Marvel's rival DC they plan to make a show out of HOURMAN comic centring on a brilliant yet troubled pharmaceutical analyst who discovers that the visions that have plagued him since childhood are actually glimpses of tragic events occurring one hour in the future. Determined to win back his ex-wife and son, he heroically prevents these tragedies from unfolding, finding both purpose and redemption along the way.

He is also a member of the White Council with Cate Blanchett's Elven queen Galadriel. In the sequel Gandalf will venture into the tombs within the High Fells, trying to exhume the blade of the Witch-King of Angmar! He is supposed to meet with delightful Radagast the Brown there played by Sylvester McCoy!

BARD THE BOWMAN

After escaping the Elven court (using Thranduil's butler Galion's fondness for drink) Thorin, Bilbo and the rest of the dwarves will end up in Laketown, the city of humans, where we shall meet for the first time Bard the Bowman played by Luke Evans (IMMORTALS, THE THREE MUSKETEERS, FAST AND FURIOUS 6), one of the people of the pompous Master of Laketown played by Stephen Fry. Bard will give the company a boat ride to LakeTown! Bard will be an enigmatic, Robin Hood-esque figure, Middle-earth's finest when it comes to arrow-skills! He is the heir of Girion, the last king of old Dale. He defends the town when the dragon comes, and slays the dragon himself. In the last film he will lead the Men of Esgaroth at the Battle of Five Armies and will be crowned king of the re-founded Dale. He also has a little son Bain!

ELVEN KING THRANDUIL

We already met Elven king Thranduil in THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY in which he stole the whole show: he was in it just for a minute or two but his majestic arrival into the battle on his glorious royal elk easily outshone all the hairy dwarves and them Hobbitses :) In THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG we shall be royally introduced to his Elven Majesty Thranduil when Bilbo and his group arrive to his kingdom in the Northern part of the mystical Mirkwood. In the Elven forest, the merry group will be thrown into dungeons by the royal Elven guard after refusing to reveal their reasons for being there. The film will also show us the spellbinding beauty of Thranduil's forest court in Mirkwood.In the book itself, after evil dragon Smaug was slayed, Thranduil demanded a part of the treasure of Erebor together with the people of LakeTown which almost lead to a war. He had his share of fights with evil Sauron from LORD OF THE RINGS and even had joined efforts with queen Galadriel's husband Celeborn to cleanse their Elven woods from Sauron's evil taint. Peter Jackson had Lee Pace in mind for the role from the very beginning amazed by his warm charisma and magnetic aura in Tarsem Sing's THE FALL.

THORIN OAKENSHIELD

RICHARD ARMITAGE

The charismatic and brave leader of the Dwarf company which takes Bilbo into the adventure is Thorin Oakenshield played by magnetic Richard Armitage, whom the Brits know as a television star from shows such as ROBIN HOOD and SPOOKS. Seeking to return the Dwarves' mountain and their treasure from evil dragon Smaug, Thorin will take his dwarvish warriors onto the adventure which will put them in fights with goblins, Elves, and all kinds of different creatures. In the books, he is quite arrogant and ungrateful and refuses to give Elven king Thranduil and Bard their share of the treasure taken from Smaug and even fortifies the Lonely Mountain against them. But later on he had to join their forces in the famous Battle of five Armies in which he will be mortally wounded!

LEGOLAS

ORLANDO BLOOM
One of the most popular characters, not just in the movie adaptations of Tolkien's saga but also in movie history, Legolas is our old friend. We've already watched him in all three parts of LORD OF THE RINGS in which he represented his Elven people in the famous fellowship of the ring. We all remember his stunning battle proves, his archery skills and his refined elegance. His friendship with Dwarf Gimli, who is also a prince but a dwarvish one, helped in gradual reconciliation between Dwarves and Elves. After the adventures in LORD OF THE RINGS, Legolas founded an Elf colony in Ithilien and spent his remaining time helping to restore its devastated forests.As an elf of the Woodland Realm, and the son of Elven king Thranduil, Legolas doesn't really appear in THE HOBBIT book, but Peter Jackson added his character to the movie in order to fulfil the wishes and expectations of the audience and the fans even though the

events take place almost a hundred years before LORD OF THE RINGS. Since Elven people live for thousands of years, this was possible to fulfil. Orlando Bloom, who portrays Legolas in the Middle Earth movies, became a star thanks to this role.

TAURIEL

EVANGELINE LILLY

One of the new Elven characters to appear in THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG, is Tauriel played by LOST star Evangeline Lilly! She's a female elf from Mirkwood and also the Chief of the Guards for the Elvenking Thranduil. Her name means "daughter of the wood". She was added into the film, even though she isn't in the books, in order to incorporate female characters into the story, but Peter Jackson has confirmed there will be no romantic connection to Legolas. Unlike Legolas and Thranduil she's a redhead. Tauriel is a very young elf, only 600 years old, unlike Legolas who is 1,900 years old and Thranduil who is about 3,000 years old. Because of this she doesn't have quite the wisdom and pose thatthose two have and is more gritty, spontaneous, and passionate. Although graceful and refined as all other Elves, she is still a ruthless warrior!

CHANGELLING BEORN

MICHAEL PERS- BRANDT
Beorn appears for the first time in the sequel played by Mikael Persbrandt. He is a skin-changer; a man who can assume the appearance of a great black bear. In the novel, he lives with his animal retinue (horses, dogs, and cows, among others) in a wooden house between the Misty Mountains and Mirkwood. Beorn receives Gandalf, Bilbo, and the 13 Dwarves and aids them in their quest to reclaim the Dwarves' kingdom beneath Erebor. He is convinced of their trustworthiness after confirming their tale of encountering the Goblins of the Misty Mountains and Gandalf's slaying of their leader, the Great Goblin.

MASTER OF LAKETOWN

STEPHEN FRY

Master of Laketown is played by brilliant British comedian Stephen Fry. He is the leader of the settlement of Men at Lake-town near the Lonely Mountain. Fry himself said: "My character is an opportunity for sheer grossness... Peter Jackson had me eating testicles... gross appetites. I mustn't give too much away but I've got a bald cap and then on top of that a really bad combover wig and this wispy moustache and wispy beard and horrible blotchy skin and disgusting fingernails... And generally speaking a really unappetizing piece of work. And a coward to boot and very, very greedy".

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM III GETS

DAN STEVENS AS SIR LANCELOT

Well, they certainly weren't the best comedies ever, but the first two films in THE NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM franchise sure were fun and entertaining. You already know that the third one is in works with Ben Stiller again reprising his role of the unfortunate guard at the museum who has to guard the place at night when all in it seems to come alive. RobinWilliams is also attached to again give a delightful performance of Teddy Roosevelt. And now 'The Hollywood Reporter' writes that DOWNTON ABBEY's Dan Stevens is set to play living mannequin of Sir Lancelot of the Round table! Lancelot will be the main nemesis in the third part of the billion dollar series set this time in London. The film is out Christmas next year.

ADAM DRIVER IS NIGHTWING

IN 'SUPERMAN VS BATMAN'?
One of the main movie news this weekend was that young GIRLS TV star Adam Driver is now the leading candidate for the role of Nightwing in SUPERMAN VS BATMAN! Nightwing is the new vigilante identity of Batman's former sidekick Robin after he has a fall out with Batman who will, reportedly, be old, tired and weary and, as you know, played by BenAffleck against Henry Cavill's Superman. Earlier last week we reported that OlgaKurylenko is the lead candidate for the role of Wonder Woman (or Bruce Wayne's girlfriend - it is not clear so far) along with THOR's Jaimie Alexander. The film hits theatres summer 2015. The film will be directed by Zack Snyder again and will see Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) returning to their respective roles.

SEAN SAVES THE WORLD

Good news from the television department - delightfully warm and entertaining new sitcom SEAN SAVES THE WORLD got an order for five more episodes over at NBC which means it will have 18 in total in

the first season. Starring Sean Hayes from WILL AND GRACE, the lovely sitcom follows a divorced gay father to a teenage daughter who must learn to balance his successful but demanding work life and fatherhood.

After yesterday's news that GIRLS star Adam Driver is the frontrunner to play Nightwing in SUPERMAN VS BATMAN, there are now new reports that GOSSIP GIRL star PennBadgley and young actor Ezra Miller have also auditioned for the role of Batman's former sidekick Robin who went his separate way in order to become a new vigilante called Nightwing. Zack Snyder is again directing with Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Diane Lane as Martha Kent. The film hits cinemas summer 2015. There

are also stories that Batman's suit won't be armour-like but very new and original faithful to one of his comic book appearances.

FREIDA PINTO IS

DESERT DANCER!

Gorgeous (but not so talented, as we have seen her rather expressionless acting in SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, IMMORTALS and DAY OF THE FALCON) Freida Pinto is playing one of the lead roles in DESERT DANCER which has just been sold to Relativity Media for North American distribution. The drama is based on the true story of Afshin Ghaffarian (played by Reece Ritchie), who dreams of becoming a dancer in Iran, where dancing is strictly forbidden. The story is set in 2009, against the backdrop of protests that sparked a movement towards more personal freedoms in the country. The movie also stars Tom Cullen.

Deadline reports that Lionsgate has picked up North American rights to THE ANGRIEST MAN IN BROOKLYN, in which Robin Williams portrays New Yorker Henry Altmann, whose bad day gets worse when he’s told he has just 90 minutes to live. Mila Kunis stars as the doctor who scrambles to find Altmann and to get him into surgery as he goes on a panicked

spree through Brooklyn to right all of the wrongs in his life. You can currently watch RobinWilliams' delightful humour in hit sitcom THE CRAZY ONES with Sarah Michelle Gellar. A new historical drama is to be expected in the future: The Hollywood Reporter writes that Rupert Sanders (SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN) is going to helm a film on NAPOLEON the

infamous French general and ruler from the 18th and 19th century! To be produced by 300 producer Gianni Nunnari, it will be a biopic on one of history’s most outsized personalities, a genius who believed in himself almost too much, as he could inspire hundreds of thousands to do his military and political bidding. Bonaparte rose to power through a series of revolutions at the turn of the 19th century, riding the liberty wave of the French Revolution and becoming Emperor of France. Using brilliant strategy, he made France into a major world power, but his fortune turned after he invaded Russia. His defeat at the Battle of Waterloo is one of history’s most famous battles!

We might watch NAPOLEON on TV too, since I informed you this spring that StevenSpielberg wants to make mini series based on Stanley Kubrick's unfinished scenario.

'BEOWULF' EPIC DRAMA SERIES

The main television news for today comes from 'Deadline' where they report about SyFy preparing BEOWULF television show! With SyFy moving into fantasy adventure waters with this project, the drama series will be an adaptation of the classic Old English epic poem that further examines the ancient hero’s rise to power and his feud with the dragon monster Grendel.

DEZZY'S LITERATURE LESSON
Although it is deemed as one of the most important works of Anglo Saxon literature, this Old English epic poem (written by an anonymous poet sometime between the 8th and the early 11th century) went almost unnoticed for the first seven centuries of its existence. It was first published and started to be studied only in the 19th century!

DANGEROUS LIAISONS

TO BE MADE INTO BBC SERIES

In other television news, it seems that BBC will adapt famous novel DANGEROUSLIAISONS by Choderlos de Laclos into a television drama series. It will be done by Christopher Hampton who has earlier adapted the novel into a play and then also into the famous movie with John Malkovich and Glenn Close. The interesting twist is that he will incorporate some other 18th century French literary characters into the story. DANGEROUSLIAISONS follows the twisted games played by ex-lovers and rivals Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont, who use sex in order to humiliate others.

'NOAH' EPIC TRAILER

And as I've announced earlier this week, here is the first trailer released for RussellCrowe's upcoming epic drama NOAH which should arrive into cinemas next March. Directed by Darren Aronofsky this biblical epic retells the story of Noah, an ordinary man who has a divine vision foretelling the apocalypse, and tries to warn people to cease their mistreatment of the Earth. Noah (Russell Crowe), his wife (Jennifer Connelly), his grandfather Methuselah (Anthony Hopkins) and his children (Logan Lerman and DouglasBooth) become the sole survivors of a titanic flood, and are left to fend for themselves in the wilderness.

If he accepts the gig Hugh would be play playing vain Latin lover Aldolpho alongside his Australian fellow actor Geoffrey Rush’s Man in Chair. The story concerns a middle-aged, asocial musical theatre fan - the Man in Chair: as he plays the record of his favourite musical, the fictional1928 hit THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, the show comes to life on stage as he wryly comments on the music, story, and actors. Hugh Jackman has also revealed that there is a possibility of THE WOLVERINE getting a sequel in the future.

'THE CITY THAT SAILED'!
Another big Hollywood star, Will Smith will unite with Shawn Levy (REAL STEEL, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM) on THE CITY THAT SAILED movie. The intriguing fantasy story

revolves around the daughter of a New York City street magician who lives in England. She discovers a set of magical candles in a lighthouse, and her wish to be reunited with her father causes the island of Manhattan to break away and begin moving across the ocean!
SHEKHAR KAPUR TO HELM 'RASPUTIN' MINI SERIES
Meanwhile, Deadline reports that HOLLYWOOD SPY's fave director Shekhar Kapur (ELIZABETH THE GOLDEN AGE, THE FOUR FEATHERS) will helm FX mini series RASPUTIN telling the story of the Russian peasant and mystic who became an adviser to the Russian Romanov Imperial family.

Our Saturday trailer is the first one for inspiring and heartwarming drama HEAVEN IS FORREAL based on an incredible true story!

Coming to cinemas next Easter and based on best selling novel, the film stars Greg Kinnear and Kelly Reilly as the real-life couple whose son Colton (Connor Corum) experiences Heaven during emergency surgery. SLEEPY HOLLOW'S DASHING HOPE

Although SLEEPY HOLLOW turned into a dragged out monotony with random episodes and no sparkle as early as the second episode finished, we still adore British actor TomMison in the lead role. Bringing humour and delightful charm to the character of Ichabod Crane, he certainly did make his own star sparkle in the Hollywood stardom and we are looking forward to seeing him more in the future. The 31 year old actor is also a writer, and he wrote a number of plays for British theatre. We've first spotted him as the dashing soldier boyfriend of Emily Blunt's character in SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN, but you also remember him by his television roles in PARADE'S END and LOST IN AUSTEN television series.

In the show we watch her as lovely, intelligent and dedicated police officer Abbie Mills but she is also known for her critically acclaimed debut in AMERICAN VIOLET and for her role in provocative drama SHAME in which she starred with her real life ex boyfriend MichaelFassbender (they split earlier this January) and with Carey Mulligan who was, interestingly enough, Tom Mison's girlfriend for a few years. She has Nigerian and Jamaican origins and is almost 30cm shorter than Mison which is why she looks so tiny next to him in the show. She is also a singer.

One of the hit new shows that started their premiere run on the small screens this Autumn is also CW's historical series REIGN on the life of Mary Queen of Scots at the time when she was young and engaged to the French heir to the throne. Although a bit too teensy, with shockingly horrible, and even ridiculous, costumes, and often-times a naive plot, the show does bring certain fun and also some eye candy. One of the actors that were certainly noticed in it is young Toby Regbo who plays the love stricken prince Francis of France who has to balance between the wants and needs of his ambitious mother and his strict father on one side and his emotions towards his royal fiancée Mary Queen of Scots on the other side. The 22 years old British charmer, Toby, has played young Albus Dumbledore in the film 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' and will continue with royal roles since you shall watch him next year as young King Stefan in Angelina Jolie's MALEFICENT fantasy!

Prince Francis' half brother Sebastian or Bash in REIGN is also played by a very charismatic actor. Torrance Coombs plays young Bash, who, being the son of the French king and his lover, doesn't have the right on the throne, but is very skilled in dealing with the court intrigues and plots. 30 years old Canadian actor was first noticed by wider audience while he was playing Thomas Culpeper in a reoccurring role in famous historical series THETUDORS. He also starred in BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and in HEARTLAND series. Like all of the above mentioned stars, he also has theatrical experience.

Another breakthrough series that Autumn 2013 has brought to us is NBC's DRACULA show bringing the age old vampire to the Victorian London where he poses as a rich investor interested in bringing electricity to the people while at the same time hunting down his enemies from the past. The role of a journalist who becomes Dracula's Victorian PR and advisor, and who at the same time is in a relationship with a girl who is the reincarnation of Dracula's long lost love, went to dashing Oliver Jackson Cohen. If his handsome face was familiar to you it is because you remember him by his great portrayal of the villainous knight in last year's epic mini series WORLD WITHOUT END. 27 years old British actor also starred in THE RAVEN with Luke Evans and in MR. SELFRIDGE series and he also worked as a model which isn't that unusual having in mind that his mother is British fashion designer Betty Jackson (known for designing the crazy costumes in ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS sitcom).

After playing a villain in 007 movie SKYFALL, Javier Bardem will again take a role of a negative bully in PAN! Warner Bros' origin story of famous Peter Pan will be directed by JoeWright (ATONEMENT, ANNA KARENINA) and will be based on J.M. Barrie's classic tale following orphan boy Peter, who is taken for the first time to the magical world of Neverland, where he joins the natives, leading them in a rebellion against a group of evil pirates. JavierBardem will not be playing Captain Cook but he will still have his own ship as Blackbeard another naughty captain of a pirate ship!
